In addition there are six elected Region Directors, three from each of the two regions.  These twelve elected leadership positions comprise the Board of Directors along with the immediate past Chairman of the Board for a total of 13.

CANGC mission statement states:  The California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers is a professional organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the nursery industry for its members and the public it serves.

Membership Has Privileges

The Association has many programs and services for their members from increasing their public credentials with a certification program and becoming a Certified Garden center and ones that tangibly reduce operational costs of doing business such as the bankcard program or insurance programs.  In other ways, members save with the benefit of member pricing whether purchasing a booth in the California Grown Show or The Nursery Mart, certification exam fees for their employees or for any of its publications or event registrations.

Most of all, the Association serves as a resource for its members.  It is a resource for keeping abreast of new human resource regulations or regulation requirements for growing and shipping plant material.  Its trade shows offer the opportunity to network and sell product, the Buyers Guide is the most asked for publication the Association has and only members can be listed in this publication.
