CCN Pro Resource and Study Materials

Retail Garden Center Manual -- in cooperation with the UCCE - University of California Cooperative Extension offices we produced this comprehensive manual for garden center professionals to have on hand as a resource at their business or to use to study for the general questions and landscape questions of the exam.

Retail Garden Center Study Guide -- based on the manual and the exam there is no better a tool to study for the CCN Pro exam.  There are three segments to the study guide just like the exam and this study guide includes sample exam questions and short quizzes, how to do lawn calculations, plant matching exam sample, and generally takes the guessing out of what to expect at the exam.  Mailed with a landscape practice plot plan, it is a must for all aspiring CCN Pros!

Plant Identification Flashcards -- a card for most every plant on the official CCN Pro study list except for houseplants.  Not only do these flashcards help studying for the plant botanical and common name, they also provide flower color, blooming season, height, exposure and type of plant such as deciduous, evergreen, etc.  Great tool for studying for the plant identification section of the exam.  As shown in the Study Guide, the last five questions of the plant i.d. part of the exam ask you all of the questions answered on the flash cards.

Turf Workbook -- Everything you need to know about turf along with quizzes, calculation problems and identification of insects, diseases and weeds of lawns.  Great training tool for nurseries.  Can also be a resource for the Advanced CCN Pro exam on Turf.  Coming soon -- it will be the official study guide for the Turf Exam.

Pests of Landscape, Trees and Shrubs -- is the official study guide for the Advanced CCN Pro exam on Insects, Diseases and Weeds. Produced by UCCE -- University of California Cooperative Extension.  The association has it in stock to serve those taking this exam.

All About Lawns, Ortho -- Currently this is the official study guide for the Advanced CCN Pro Turf Exam. This is inventoried only for the convenience of those taking the exam.  Soon, the Turf Workbook will be the official study guide but until that time, please use this book.
