CRITERIA

1.   Must be active, paid member of the CANGC.

 2.  50% of full-time nursery sales associates must be California Certified Nursery Professionals

    *CCN Pro sales associate deals in a broad range of both green goods and hard goods.

    *CCN Pro sales associates representing the qualifying % must be active CCN Pros.

    *CCN Pro sales associate must be on duty during all business hours.

    *Garden Center provides list of CCN Pros signed by the owner or regional manager.

    *Additional credits are available to help achieve the 50% requirement. See form. 

3.  Each company location must individually qualify annually as a CCN Pro Certified Garden Center.

4.  The fee for applying and qualifying as a CCN Pro Certified Garden Center will be $125 per location.

5.  Renewal of this designation each year thereafter will be for a fee of $100 per location per year. 

First year fee includes:  outdoor sign, indoor poster, ad slicks, news releases, statement stuffer and logo master, framed letter of commendation, recognition in the trade press and CANGC publications. 

Renewal fee: each year thereafter, the qualifying garden center will receive a current year decal to update the outdoor sign, other replacement materials upon request or as developed by the CCN Pro Committee for promotional purposes.

All applications will be reviewed by the CCN Pro Certified Committee to verify employee staffing for the size of the location and to verify information supplied on the application form. In addition there will be active enforcement of the rules and regulations of this program.

CERTIFIED GARDEN CENTERS RECEIVE SPECIAL BENEFITS

• 10% discount on any CCN Pro study materials which includes all workbooks and manuals.
• 10% discount on all advanced certification exams.
• 10% on all educational seminars/workshops produced by CANGC.

• Better Gardener Publications and Website
