Retail Education Days
These educational days are co-presented by the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers and the University of California Cooperative Extension. Originally designed as advanced training for CCN Pros and Master Gardeners, it has quickly grown in popularity and become a "must attend" for anyone in the green industry looking for an intense day of education. Education days are offered twice a year, once in Northern and once in Southern California. The agenda changes each time. The goal of this meeting is to provide an overview of current regional, horticulture issues and management strategies. Continuing Education Units are applied for through various accredited organizations based on the current agenda, including but not limited to the California Dept. of Pesticide Regulation, International Society of Arborist, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Society of American Foresters. CEUs are available for CCN Pros.

Board Meetings
The California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers Board of Directors meet 3 times a year. Association business is conducted and reviewed by the CANGC Executive Committee and chapter elected board members. If any committee action has been taken since the last meeting, committee chairs report to the board. Chapter presidents are welcome to attend. Travel reimbursement is provided for directors, committee chairs, and chapter presidents when round-trip travel is 200 miles or more. Reimbursement is made on mileage or flight costs. Mileage reimbursement is based on 34.5¢ per mile and airfares are reimbursed with receipt on advance purchase fares only. Note: Overnight accommodations will be reimbursed for directors that cannot fly in by the 9:30am start time. Contact the CANGC office to arrange.
